KISHOREGANJ: In preparation for the upcoming 12th National Assembly elections of 2024 in Kishoreganj district, Election Commission has directed the transfer of the Officer-in-Charge (OC) across eight police stations in 13 upazilas. This significant move was orchestrated by Additional DIG (Administration) Kamrul Ahsan and was officially communicated through a notification on Thursday night, dated December 7.
As per notification, Mohammad Dawood Officer-in-Charge of Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station, has been reassigned to Katiyadi Model Police Station. Simultaneously, Mohammad Golam Mostafa, who held the post at Kuliarchar Police Station, is now appointed as the Officer-in-Charge of Kishoreganj Sadar Model Police Station.
Furthermore, a comprehensive reshuffling of Officer-in-Charge positions has been initiated across other police stations.
Nahid Hasnan Sumon OC of Pakundia Police Station, now assumes duty at Hossainpur Police Station. Hossainpur Police Station’s former OC Asaduzzaman Titu has been transferred to Pakundia Police Station.
Mohammad Morshed Zaman, who previously held position at Ashtagram Police Station, now leads Bajitpur Police Station.
Katiadi Model Police Station’s OC SM Shahadat Hossain has been redeployed to Nikli Police Station. Sarwar Jahan OC of Nikli Police Station, takes charge at Kuliarchar Police Station.
Lastly, Muhammad Shafiqul Islam outgoing OC of Bajitpur Police Station, assumes role of OC at Ashtagram Police Station.
These transfers aim to ensure optimal administrative efficiency in the lead-up to the electoral process.
